HUG is a collective group of homeschool families who hope to provide the support and inspiration our children need throughout their education by focusing on the value in Faith, Freedom, Family, and Fellowship.

The “underground” aspect of HUG is based on the desire to break away from what has become “normal” schooling in our country. God gives children to parents, not the government.  Parents are the sole educators of their children and should save their children from a life of slavery within the public school system.  We do not co-parent with the government.  Rather, we aim at partnering with like-minded families who wish to uphold our deeply-held beliefs and values and are tired of control-driven policies like the politically-driven mandate culture that was upon us in 2020 and 2021.  Together we wish to teach our children to stand up for and lead a life Jesus would be proud of.  We aim at upholding our God-given rights, the freedoms our Constitution provides, and the strength of community!

We believe in Parent -led education.  Our co-op does not take responsibility in teaching your child; as homeschool in its essence, is individualized for each family.  HUG is not a micro school and does not provide a school setting; our classes are unique, led by the HUG families, and are for enrichment and social purposes only.  The flexibility of HUG allows the families to pick and choose what works for their schedules and emphasizes that we are a community that works together to provide opportunities for our children.  Please consider how you will contribute to our Co-op prior to joining.  Membership combines a fiscal donation of $100/family annually, plus a co-op contribution in the form of volunteering (set up, clean up) or hosting a class, club, or event.
